What Aman New York actually is
Aman took over the upper floors of the 1921 Crown Building at 57th and Fifth and opened in 2022 as the most expensive hotel in New York. Every accommodation is a suite, every suite has a working fireplace, and the design language is the low-lit, screened, deliberately hushed Aman house style rather than anything Manhattan-traditional.
The 25,000 sq ft spa spans three floors and includes a 20-metre indoor pool flanked by fire pits, plus separate men's and women's Banya and Watsu facilities. The Garden Terrace on the 14th floor is one of the largest hotel outdoor spaces in Midtown, and Arva and Nama cover Italian and Japanese respectively.
