Casa Cipriani took over the landmarked Battery Maritime Building, a 1909 Beaux-Arts ferry terminal on the southern tip of Manhattan, and turned its upper floors into a members' club with 47 hotel rooms attached. The Thierry Despont interiors are 1930s ocean-liner in reference, all dark wood and brass.
