Ink48 occupies a converted printing house on Eleventh Avenue at 48th Street, which is far enough west that the Hudson River views are unobstructed. Print, the rooftop bar, looks straight over the water on one side and across the Midtown skyline on the other — one of the better two-way rooftop positions in the city.
It runs on the Kimpton model, with an evening wine hour, no pet restrictions, and staff who take the hospitality side seriously. Rooms are large by Midtown standards with good glazing. The walk east to the theatre district takes about fifteen minutes; the Hudson River Park and the Intrepid Museum are immediately west.
