What The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad actually is

The NoMad Ritz-Carlton opened in 2022 in a purpose-built 50-storey tower, and it reads far more contemporary than the brand's Central Park property. Rooms are dark-panelled and tech-forward, with a design brief closer to a modern residential tower than a classic grand hotel.

Nubeluz, the bar on the 50th floor, is the draw: an all-glass room by José Andrés with terraces facing the Empire State Building six blocks north. Zaytinya on the ground floor covers Andrés' Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cooking, and the location puts Koreatown, Madison Square Park and the Flatiron within a ten-minute walk.
