What Wythe Hotel actually is
The Wythe opened in 2012 inside an 1901 barrel factory and effectively created the Williamsburg hotel scene. The conversion left the original pine beams and brick walls exposed, added a floor of steel and glass on top, and commissioned custom wallpaper printed from local imagery.
Rooms have exposed timber, concrete floors and, on the west side, thirteen-foot windows looking straight at the Manhattan skyline. Le Crocodile serves French bistro cooking on the ground floor, and Bar Blondeau on the sixth has the view and the cocktails.

Questions people ask about Wythe Hotel
Are the skyline views worth the upgrade?
The west-facing rooms look across the East River at Midtown through thirteen-foot factory windows. It is the single best thing about the hotel and worth the difference.
Is Le Crocodile open to non-guests?
Yes, and it is one of the busier restaurants in Williamsburg — reserve ahead.
