What Loews Regency New York actually is

The Regency invented the power breakfast, or at least is credited with it — the term came out of the morning meetings that New York's business and political classes have been holding in its dining room since the 1970s. It sits on Park Avenue at 61st Street, which is about as establishment an address as Manhattan offers.

A thorough renovation modernised the rooms without abandoning the hotel's essential seriousness. The Julien Farel salon on site is a destination in its own right. For business travellers the location is close to ideal: Midtown offices to the south, Central Park two blocks west, and the Upper East Side's galleries and museums to the north.
