What The Standard, High Line actually is

The Standard was built directly over the High Line, its concrete legs planted either side of the park, and the whole design leans on the position: every room has floor-to-ceiling windows, west-facing rooms look over the Hudson, and the bathrooms are famously exposed to the glass.

The Top of the Standard on the 18th floor is a long-running cocktail room with skyline views, Le Bain above it is a nightclub with a plunge pool and Astroturf deck, and the Standard Grill and Biergarten operate at street level. It is loud, it is not subtle, and it has been fully booked for fifteen years.
