What The Wall Street Hotel actually is

The Wall Street Hotel opened in 2022 in the former Tontine Building at the corner of Wall and Pearl Streets, a 1920s structure in the oldest part of Manhattan. The conversion is high-specification — marble, brass, generously proportioned rooms — and represents a genuine attempt to bring luxury hospitality to a district that had very little of it.

The Financial District's advantage as a base is that it empties out in the evenings and at weekends, so the streets around the hotel are quiet at exactly the times other parts of Manhattan are not. The Stock Exchange, Federal Hall and the 9/11 Memorial are all within a short walk, and the subway connections downtown are among the best in the city.
